[Hajime awakes by a stream. And so he does the natural thing when faced with such a confusing discovery. He starts talking to the water. For a while he stays in deep conversation with it.

Eventually, he stands up and starts following the stream into the village. Of course, the water can only take him so far. ONce he actually reaches the village, he stops to look around.]

Okay... now what?

[Voice]

[Some time later, after the initial confusion fades, he turns his attention to the journal and everything it offers.]

I... guess I'm supposed to say hi to everyone on this? I'm Hajime. I don't usually have wings. Or talk to books.

[Talking to the water? Of course that's the normal course of things! At least in the world this girl is from it is. Seeing as she lives in the water.

She was a bit upstream hunting some fish when she first heard the voice. Strange, most people in the village don't try to speak to her. Curious she stands in the water and makes her way towards the person speaking at the water.

Covered in patches of blue scales, fangs, and black claws on her hands and bare feet she sure doesn't look human. The cold water doesn't seem to bother her any, wearing only an old new feather's dress. She is also sporting two sets of wings. A smaller blue set and a large white set.

Her voice when she speaks is gruff and a bit gravely.] Human. Do you search for me or Sona? [She was guessing he wants the water spirit, but it's always best to ask then assume.]

Oh... uh...

[He's a bit surprised by the person's appearance. But right now he's surprised by a lot of things.]

Neither I guess?

[The girl blinks her slightly elongated eyes in thought. Not looking for her or Sona? She tries to think of who else might live in this section of the stream.]

Are you speaking to the fish?

The water.

[Perfect sense to him.]

It says there's a village.

[Ooh, she actually perks up at that. She had never met a human before that could listen so closely to the water.

In fact this person may even hear it clearer than she does.]

This is true. The village is further past the forest. This water shall lead one to it.

[She knows it can be rude, but she can't help herself from asking so does it bluntly.] Are you not human? I have not met a human that could listen to the water so clearly before.

[Of course Sasame picks up Hajime's voice and Leafe then immediately comes to his side.]

Hajime, you're the last person I expected to arrive here.

[Is he ever happy to see anyone familiar. Which is rather clear when he throws his arms around Sasame's waist.]

Where is here?

[Sasame returns the hug, but of course he should get the young knight back to town.]

It's a village called Luceti. Don't worry, I'll tell you everything as we walk back to town. You can even stay with me.

[He's ready to get there. Wandering was just confusing.]

( Annie's fairly unimposing, if one ignores the more neutral expression she tends to default to wearing. Her wings are hidden in the sweatshirt she wears, pants an unremarkable, neutral color, tucked into boots with very little heel on them. Her blonde hair is pulled back into a bun when she turns her head at the sound of a question that gets more familiar as the days turn into a week and more. )

( Is her first guess; that, or returned from some specialized experiment, but it seems more likely that another person has just arrived. Given their general state of things, and the way they look around. )

Well, it's not that much different from anywhere else. Most people honestly just try to get by, which is admittedly a lot easier when money isn't an issue.

What do you like doing, Hajime? That might be a place to start.

Well... I like swimming, but it's too cold for that. Or building models. Sometimes I help Himeno in the garden, that's a lot of fun.

It's been happening even longer than I've been here, and that's about five and a half years now. That's only in this enclosure, though. I'm not sure how long it's been happening in the rest of the world.
