People here just sometimes... disappear and don't come back, don't they? Different from what just happened. Not like when everyone had to go fight. He's been gone longer than that.

[There's a brief pause]

I'm almost there as well. [So those faint noises in the background were her moving, apparently. There isn't much more to be said aside from simple directions and comments until she's actually there and sees him, realizing quickly who the boy by the fountain must be.]

Do you have anything else to do here before we go? [After all, they're pretty much in the village center. May as well do a few errands or, now that he has company, find anything he needs right away.]

I think I have everything. There's not much to do until school starts again.

You must enjoy school, then. [She always loved it herself; but she knows not every kid who could probably get out of going, would go on their own.]

I'd never been before here, but it's pretty neat. There's so much to learn about and I get to see the other kids.

[He wishes there were more kids his age. It was kinda weird the way there weren't.]

That's what I liked, too. I liked to study, and I wanted to make friends.

There aren't a lot of kids my age here, but I'm used to just having Shin and Mannen anyway. So it's exciting.

Growing up, I didn't meet many children my age, either. So I was very happy when I did. [They're sounding more and more alike in this, really.]

Most of the people here are really nice. That's been the best thing.

[For the most part? Ami has to agree.] A lot of them helped me when I needed it. I want to pay them back for that sometime. They'll probably help you, too. But you should be careful while you get used to things again.
