People here just sometimes... disappear and don't come back, don't they? Different from what just happened. Not like when everyone had to go fight. He's been gone longer than that.

[There's a brief pause]

[ He glances to the fountain, then back to Hajime. ]

Sasame. He's not here anymore.

From home. I've known him my whole life.

[ But just saying that doesn't feel like enough, does it? So Red moves to the side of the fountain, taking a seat on the ledge. ]

What was he-- what's he like?

He's... he's always really good at listening. And then he says something that makes people feel better. He fights with Hayate a lot, but he's really nice to everyone else. He was taking care of me, here.

Is Hayate someone else from home?

Yeah. He's the Wind Knight. There's seven of us in all.
